Features and Information
Location: Approximately
18 miles northeast of Post, Texas on FM 2008 in Garza County.
Acres: 384 acres
more or less.
Terrain: The
ranch has not been grazed in a number of years and has good stands of
native grasses throughout. The ranch is gently rolling with a few hills
and draws. The Salt Fork of the Brazos Rives is in the northwest corner
of the ranch. Mesquite is prevalent throughout the property with scattered
plum thickets, hackberry, cottonwood and elm. Some shinnery is located
on the eastern portion of the ranch.
Improvements: An
older three bedroom one bath home is located on the ranch. A new roof
and central heating and cooling was added in 2007. Fences on the property
are in good condition.
Water: Two wells
are located on the ranch; a 52gmp and a 25gmp well. There is one tank
on the ranch and the Salt Fork of the Brazos. is in the northwest corner
of the property.
Hunting/RECREATION:
The ranch offers great hunting including whitetail deer, quail, turkey,
dove and wild hogs. And for the non-hunter numerous arrowheads have been
found on the ranch.
COMMENTS:
This is a nice small ranch less than an hour from Lubbock. The property
fronts on FM 2008 for approximately 3⁄4 of a mile. The ranch offers
great hunting and recreation and has a 52gpm water well! Lots of possibilities
for a great small ranch!
